"In early 2021, my friend and roommate Henry Gartland took his own life. He was 21 years old. When etnies gave me the chance to work on two color ways, I wanted to use this opportunity to honor my friend, and at the same time bring awareness to mental health.

Henry's official first name was "e", so that's why it's on the heel. He often had purple hair, so that explains the purple in both colorways. The golden eyelets represent the rings and chains he always wore.
